Who will Romney choose as VP?

CW appears to be that one chooses a VP to appeal to a demographic that one is weakest with. For Romney, this would seem to be the entire Republican base, who hates his guts with the passion of a thousand suns. And, too, women. So, who should he pick? Palin (It worked so well last time!)? Bachmann (too nuts? Is that possible?)? Frothy (too disgusting? Is that possible?)? Or some fellow corporate-sponsored cyborg like Paul Ryan (too happy in his current job?)? This is fun speculation - anyone out there have an opinion?

But wait... Newt Gingrich keeps telling us that he's going to be the nominee. In fact, there will be a colony on the moon by the end of his 2nd term. I really counting on that because I think it's the only way to get rid of him.

OK, assuming it's Romney and not Newt, I'm going to say Romney should go with a southern governor because they hate him and his mormonhood in the south. At least, that's what they were saying after he lost Miss. and Ala. How do they like him Texas

I can think of 3 reasons why it won't be Rick Perry: 1) he's refused to endorse Romney, 2) his awful debate performances, and 3)... the EPA? oops...

Nikki Haley or Bob McDonnell?

Yeah, I think Newt is cooked, but I may be overly optimistic. He's like acid reflux - you never know when he'll come back up.

Texas Republicans go the way of the national trend, I think, on the subject of Romney: The rednecks can't stand him, but the BigBidnessBoyz think he's their ticket to beat Obama. I don't think picking a southerner is going to do it for the rednecks who hate him, but I've been wrong before! Who knows?

Heh. Rick Perry. Right. At this point, I think Perry is too much of a useful tool for Texas BigBidnessBoys to let loose on the national stage again. They're going to keep him down home for awhile until the embarrassment from his last run wears off a little bit. That could take some time! (Keeping fingers crossed; as much as I'd like to be rid of him in Texas, that isn't really accomplished by promoting him to national office, e.g. GWB.)

Your other 2 suggestions are good ones! Who knows!
