Emails I never finished reading...

Remember the 80-year-old wingnut coworker I wrote about here who retired a few months ago? Occasionally someone asks me if I've heard from her and, until yesterday, I always said no.

Imagine my surprise to find email from Alice in my in-box yesterday morning, with the heading in the subject line of "Proud to be an American"! Thinking how nice it was that Alice was sending out July 4 greetings to one and all in - no doubt - a spirit of unity and comity, I opened it to read:

Whereupon I hit the Delete button.
