It's a start

America owes the world an apology for 8 years of George W. Bush. Electing Barack Obama would be a good start. However, whether realistic or not, I firmly believe that we cannot truly make amends to the world for the last 8 years unless we ourselves turn GWB and Dick Cheney over to the international court to be tried for war crimes. It is what we should do.

And FURTHERMORE this performance last night should convince any doubters that the election in November is going to be a blow-out for Democrats. Republicans are fixing to get a long overdue trouncing.

Certainly a night to smile about in many ways.

Happily, I didn't hear Hillary's embarrassments until today, so it was a good night.

How did your candidates fare in Iowa last night, heydave?

Not bad: turns out it was the 4th District, not the 3rd, that I vote in. But the capable woman beat out the trio of clowns against here. Ideally, she will go on to unseat a long tenured repub ahead.

Do you think Obama should agree to McCain's "10 joint town hall meetings" challenge?

Absolutely, Freewheel! I simply can't imagine that any side-by-side comparison of Obama and McCain wouldn't be overwhelmingly favorable for Obama. I keep hearing about what a smart and capable campaigner McCain is, but look at that speech last night! What was that - a hustle? I don't think so.

McCain's speech was painful to watch. "That's not change we can believe in. heh heh." Terrible delivery. I admit that I couldn't stand to watch it for long. OTOH, at least McCain has a general concept of grammar, unlike Dubya.
