Dday over at Hullabaloo points us to this post by Jesse Taylor over at Pandagon and both posts examine a trend that we've seen plenty of examples of quite close to home. Most recently, our friend Mike has been coping with a troll named Mark Harden, long known to both of us from our time spent arguing with him at a conservative blog called All Things Conservative which was hosted by Mark's friend and golf partner, Bill Crawford. While Bill has dropped out of sight, Mark soldiers on, though now for some reason he's refusing to comment under his real name, using instead a series of clever-only-to-him pseudonyms. Go figure. Anyway, this propensity for deriding and sneering at the enthusiasm that others show for liberal causes or candidates is one that Mark adopted with great relish. Makes perfect sense when you think about it. After all, the intellectual base of their ideology looks like this.
UPDATE: And after all.....

I haven't heard from Mark in a while. I usually get at least one mocking comment from him a week.
Yeah, I've noticed that he hasn't been back since you left on your vacation. It's been a nice break!
I have to admit, Algoracle is pretty clever.
The last thing McCain supporters want is folks to get excited about government and a better future. 'Cause that don't translate into a vote for McCain!
