Criminality" is known as "bypassing laws and regulations" or "cutting through bureaucratic red tape" or "sidestepping (environmental) laws." But it's all to keep us safe, doncha know. I especially like this part:

Kay Adams: How did he do that?
Michael: My father made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Kay Adams: What was that?
Michael: Luca Brasi held a gun to the bandleader's head, and my father assured him that either his signature or his brains would be on the release.
Kay Adams: ...
Michael: ...That's a true story.
[cut to Johnny singing again for about 10 more seconds before going back to Michael]
Michael: That's my family Kay, that's not me.

Of course, the Corleones were much more.... hmmm, what's the word?... oh yes, ... competent than the Bushies.
Well, Michael and his father were - Fredo and poor Sonny, not so much. And if there's one thing the Bushies have been competent (or at least, prolific) at, it's breaking the law and bullying the Congress (and their media lapdogs)into providing cover!
Well that's just it, the Corleones knew not to put Fredo in charge of any key operations.
The Bush administration, by contrast, is filled with Fredo's in key positions. And Sonny is in the vice president's office.
I think that might be Luca in the VP's office. Or Solozzo, "The Turk".
