Regional versus........

Some friends and I have rented a house in Galveston for the last week in September, a vacation like I haven't had since I don't know when. Yesterday I sent out email bemoaning the fact that Ike appears to be making a beeline for our getaway spot, and I wrote:
First Palin, now this!
And this morning I received a very apt response:
I guess the only consolation is that Ike may only be a regional disaster.
UPDATE: Come to think of it, "bounce" may have a subtext, too!

It currently looks like IKE is heading for Hagee's Cornerstone Church. Too bad we're so close.

I had to come by and see what was happening now that the race is in full-swing. AMAZING that here in my local paper, on the blog, the readers seem so Palin -struck. Especially the males are.

Many can only say that Palin is way classier than Hillary. I ask why and all they can say is, listen to her, or her husband didn't cheat on her. I make it clear to remind them that she drags her pregnant daughter around on the campaign and that might not be best for the unborn, and she opposes a woman's right to choose even in rape and incest, and I get nothing back.

I can't wait for her to be interviewed, unscripted and see how she looks to those who "just loved" her after the speech she read at the RNC. It will be a very different Palin when she is trying to rationalize her far right, nutty, religious views.

Cap, that would be Divine Justice indeed!

Hi Ricky - Good to see you back and to see that you're still fighting the good fight! I have a feeling that Palin will get very few opportunities for "unscripted" speech between now and the election.

My friend who sold her home from 'way back and moved to Padre Island is still cleaning up after Dolly. But still glad for the beach.

The media are coming out with the truth behind the Palin lies, and it's very pretty to hear. Though if she'd given them interviews,I wonder if it would be happening.
