From the mouths of babes

And of course by "babes" I mean devastatingly handsome young adolescents.

Sandy (my 15-yr-old) and I seem to have our best conversations in the car. Tonight, as we were on our way to go buy a pumpkin, I was rattling on about how exciting a time this is in the history of our country - to be on the brink of electing our first black president. And I had to say, "Of course, Texas will go for McCain.." and Sandy burst out (with real feeling), "I just wonder what it would be like to live in a SMART part of the country!"

God I love that kid. I also noticed tonight that when he described a television show that he likes, he said it was "real liberal".
