They Lie.

Big, fat, in-your-face, unmitigated lies. And guess what - I know this will shock you - they've been doing this for years and years! George Bush has been doing it all his life, Karl Rove has certainly been doing it for at least as long as he has been involved in politics. Now, here's the thing: It wouldn't be so bad, this lying of theirs, if we had any kind of forum in place in this country where their egregious and destructive lying could be credibly and objectively exposed. Which is what the mainstream press is supposed to do. But they don't. Blogs are stepping in to fill this void, but of course they are met with the same kind of derision that Greenwald talks about with regard to his book, by those same serial enablers who have been paving the way for the worst abuses by the Worst President of the Worst Administration in our country's history. Thanks to them, we have "serious" pundits on the national stage asking if Obama is "man enough" to be president, not to mention a whole host of lesser fools mocking Democrats for being "soft on terror." This is the sort of thing that makes me impatient to get past the milestone of the first woman or black president, and move on to the first openly gay president. I can't wait.
