I Just Two-Stepped for Obama

Well, that didn't take long! Ah, the advantages of life in a small town. But, man, I gotta tell ya, it has been a long time since Kendall County has seen this much activity by Democrats! I even had to wait in line, which is unheard of. From what I could tell from the conversation I heard, the buttons I saw, and the forms I saw checked off on the table where I signed my second ballot (if that's what it's called) Obama seemed to carry the day in my neck of the woods. So, all that's left now is the waiting....

I got back from two-stepping for Obama myself a little while ago. There were three precincts consolidated there, but the people coming to caucus filled up the little VFW hall in Comfort. The delegates being sent to the county convention broke like this:
Clinton 5
Obama 6
My precinct went decisively for Obama, but Comfort went for Hillary by a bit. Precinct 7 didn't meet the threshold. How's that for local stuff? All was very convivial, I think everybody was thrilled to see that there were other Democrats around.

I think the more important issue is that Texas Democrats are excited about both candidates. Just looking at the millions who voted democratic vs. the million (singular) republicans gets me happy down to the cockles of my heart. (whatever "cockles" are I don't know but they are happy right now.) I also waited to vote here in Corpus Christi. Amazing!

Caucusing sounds like a fun experience.

The final results should be interesting. If Hillary won the primary and Obama won the caucus, who won more pledged delegates?

Hi Blogmates! It was fun, Freewheel, mostly because, like Pam said, for us Democrats it was fun to see so many of us all gathered together in one place! As I understand it, Hillary won the popular vote in Texas, but the delegate count will likely favor Obama. Crazy, I know, but this is Texas.

Somewhere (in Texas) eyes are smiling,
but there is no joy in Crawford (one would hope).

Hey, like I had anything meaningful to add to the discussion.

Comments don't need to be meaningful? Why didn't someone tell me that sooner?
